Standards compliance

All pages on the Woodstock Internet Solutions site are written to the strict XHTML 4.01 standard, use Cascading Style Sheets for presentation and aim to meet the "AA" conformance level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. This means that the Woodstock Internet Solutions website can be viewed in all modern browsers, regardless of platform or device.

Some older browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer 4 and Netscape 4) do not comply with these web standards. A minority of our visitors still use these browsers and, as a result, will not experience the site as we have intended. They will be able to read the pages and navigate the site, but the site will look basic in comparison.

How to change the text size of this website?

If you are using Internet Explorer, to increase or decrease the text size, use the Text Size setting in the View menu (at the top of the screen). The default setting is Medium.

In browsers other than Internet Explorer, there will be a similar setting. For example, in Netscape versions 6 and above the option is called Text Zoom.

Access keys

If you have difficulty in using a mouse or similar devices, you can use keyboard shortcuts. Most web browsers support shortcuts called access keys that you can use to jump to specific areas of the site.

The Woodstock Internet Solutions website has special access keys:

  • Alt+0 = go to Access Keys documentation page
  • Alt+1 = go to woodstock-internet.co.uk Home page
  • Alt+2 = skip to main content of current page (for non-visual browsers)
  • Alt+3 = go to woodstock-internet.co.uk Site Map page
  • Alt+4 = go to search keyword input
  • Alt+5 = go to search submit button
